APPLICATION OF GLUETABS
Choose a Gluetab that fits your nail, covering as much surface area as possible without touching the skin. Then place the gluetab over your natural nail, without removing the protective film, to find a good fit. You will often need to choose a gluetab that is larger than you think. Remove the plastic film on one side, stick the gluetab to your nail, and rub it using your finger and orange stick. Then peel off the covering plastic film. Tip: You can either use tweezers or the orange stick provided. Gently press it between the protective film and the gluetab to loosen, then peel off the protective film with your fingers.
NAIL REMOVAL
The easiest way is to use the included orange stick. Gently press the stick between the press-on nail and your natural nail on the side. Pull the stick back and forth on both sides until the nail comes off. NOTE! Do not tear off the nails, work gently and carefully.
DON'T YOUR NAILS ATTACH?
Cleaning/prepping is the key to a perfect result! We understand that you want to get your Switch Nails on right away, but maybe you missed something during the application?For best results, your natural nail shape needs to be compatible with the shape of the Press-On nails. If you feel unsure or need help, don't hesitate to contact us!
CUSTOMIZE YOUR NAILS
You can absolutely cut or file your nails to the desired shape. Remember to file carefully, as just like a built-up nail at a salon, the press-on nail consists of a base nail, with a layer of color/design on top and then a top coat. If you are not careful when filing the nail, you can separate the layers by filing too hard or with too coarse a file. Not that it is visible at once, but the color can wear off faster when used, so it may be worth considering. We recommend this for our full-color models first and foremost and not those with effects such as glitter as they are built up in a different way. Feel free to test on a size you do not need first. You can also paint your nails. If you choose to modify your nails, we cannot guarantee that they will return to their original condition. We always recommend applying a top coat on top if you change your press-on nails so that they get extra protection.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR PRESS-ON NAILS
Remove any glue residue from your Press-On nails, clean with soap and water, then return them to the box. This will keep them fresh and easy to reapply next time.
TO AVOID
Keep your Press-On nails away from harsh chemicals such as acetone and other nail removers and substances that melt plastic. Flammable substances often melt plastic, such as high-percentage alcohol. If you get it on your press-on nails, be sure to wipe it off and also make sure it is not on the underside of the nail. We recommend using a nail oil twice a day to keep your natural nails and skin moisturized. This applies both when you have your Switch Nails on and off.
NAIL DURABILITY
All our press-on nails are made from recycled ABS plastic, some have an added design/effect and are sealed with a gel topcoat. When it comes to our models with a painted design that is different from the base color, we recommend using your favorite topcoat on top to avoid wear and tear so you can reuse your nails on multiple occasions. The base is very thin and flexible to match your natural nail. It is comparable to the durability of a natural nail with a gel polish manicure.
NAIL SIZES
You will find the size number on the underside of each Press-On nail. The number should always be at the tip and NOT at the cuticle. You can also write down which numbers work best for you, this will make it easier the next time you reapply your nails. Please note that the different shapes have different sizes and fits.
REMOVING GLUETABS FROM PRESS-ON NAILS
Use the included orange stick to remove any glue residue stuck to the Press-On nail. Press in with the pointed side and spin to roll the residue away. You can also scrape off any residue with the flatter part of the orange stick.
REMOVING GLUETABS FROM YOUR OWN NAILS
The easiest way to remove glue residue from your natural nail is to use our Remover Wipes. It gently removes glue residue from your natural nails. Be careful around your Press-on nails as this agent can affect the plastic. If you want to save your nails, make sure to remove all of them BEFORE cleaning with the Remover. Only use the Wipes on the natural nail and NOT on the Press-On nails.
NAIL BITER
Nail Pop Studio press-on nails are good in many ways, but our nails need a surface to attach to. The longer the length you want, the longer the attachment surface you need. In the picture you see an example where the Ballerina shape has too little surface to attach to.
